Andrew's Nissan Pulsar GTi-R - Updates
Update 13th June 2002
The new owner of the GTi-R, Timmy, has installed a brand new stereo system and it looks and sounds great. See below for some images.
Update 1st April 2002
The GTi-R has regrettably been sold :( but we are in contact with the new owner so if anything interesting happens to the car this page will be updated.
Update 19th February 2002
There are now a few more videos of the GTi-R on the videos page, they are of the car starting up, driving out the driveway and of the instruments while accellerating up to 100km/hr. I also took this pic of the boost gauge.
Update 12th November 2001
I have updated the GTi-R videos on the video page. They now run for slightly longer and are better quality and bigger. They are of the car driving past, and also taking off along the highway. Enjoy!
Update 5th November 2001
In case you didn't notice in the photos, the rear bar has been modified to suit the new configuration of the exhaust. The muffler no longer has the exhaust pipe going in and out the same side, it now goes in the same side but out on the opposite one for better flow. This of course means the tip comes out on the right instead of on the left. A new arch was cut in the opposite side and the existing arch on the left was plastic welded up. It turned out really well, and looking at it most people would never guess... :)
Update 24th October 2001
Well we have finally gotten around to taking some decent photos of the GTi-R, something I have been meaning to do for ages but have never had the time! The only shots I forgot were interior ones, but it hasn't really changed much since the previous ones below. The car is going well, the next modification will be installing the ChipTorque chip we have already got ready to put in it. It should allow us to run up to 15 psi with relative safety. Anyway, the photos can be found on the specs page.
Update 28th September 2001
We got the car back and the new 3" exhaust sounds great; nice and deep without being excessively loud. Performance seems to have improved as well, as the motor does not feel so restricted under load. We took some video of the car accelerating along the highway and the boost gauge. Maximum boost in this video is of the low setting at 10psi, however it can be increased to 15psi through the Turbosmart switch. For these vids go to the video page. Here are a couple more pics, I will take some more soon.
