Update 7th January 2006

There will be no further updates to this car as unfortunately it was involved in an accident and has been written off. Andrew has managed to salvage some parts from the car however and will be using them in his original brown (now green) Datsun 1600 project car.

Update 29th January 2003

Andrew has been working hard on his new datto lately, generally cleaning, tidying up and improving the car. The boot area was a bit of a mess, with the fuel pump mounted in the spare wheel well and fuel lines going everywhere.

The leak around the fuel cap had been sealed with silicon, which had partly dissolved and washed down into the fuel tank and was blocking up the lines, pumps and filters. So it was decided to pull the tank out and give it a flush, at the same time tidying up the boot, remounting the pumps and filters and giving it all a paint in gloss black.

He also made up a divider plate to sit over the space next to the spare wheel, underneath this is mounted the fuel pump and its also the storage space for tools and jumper leads etc. Some plain black carpet has also been laid over the top to finish it off, this isn't seen in the photos.

The fuel pumps were also

I also took some pics of the rollcage and radiator overflow bottle which is also a new addition (I want one too now!).

Andrew has also installed some brand new carpet and made a centre console, expect to see pics of this very soon!
